    I wish that the closest strawberries, which happen to be the brightest ones that draw attention, could be in better focus. Using a smaller aperture would bring more of the berries into focus. Otherwise, I really like the photo. Good job! :cool:

    Not to be too ignorant, but it sounds like you can use any strobes as long as the triggering mech. works with your camera. I would prefer wireless. I guess I wasn't aware that the E-TTL wouldn't factor in either. Boy, I have a lot to learn. Thanks guys.

    If spill over happens it will be applied based on the Priority date not based on the country quota

    Few things:

    3. Even if there is any spillover to EB3, nobody knows how USCIS will give those spillover number, will they go to EB3-ROW first or they will go as per the PD of Individuals regardless of Country of Origin.

    my mothe in law is visiting us. she came to the Us last Aug 2006 as a B2 (tourist visa). we extented her visa once which iwas valid for Aug 8, 2007. then we applied for the extention again. yesterday we received the letter saying USCIS is not going to extend the visa anymore. the application had been rejected. but they didn't mentioned any date in the letter about when she have to go back.

    what is safe for her? does she have any deadline to go back? is it 15 days or a month....

    someone please let me know...thanks ahead

    I’m confused about using the EAD. Someone please clarify me….

    I already received the EAD for me and my wife. Currently, I’m in the H1b which is expiring on Sep 2008 (6 years are over). My questions are?
    •Can I be in H1b and still work another job as a part-time?

    ------ if the part time job is using a part time H1 only then you will be H1 and dependents in H4 using EAD meaning you lose H1/4
    •If my wife wants to work using her EAD does it have any effect on her h4 status?
    --- her status becomes AOS pending and H4 is gone
    •If my wife loose her job during the use of her EAD what will be her status?
    --- she will reamain AOS pending same as while using EAD
    •I applied my I485 in July 2, 2007. As I already received my EAD, can I be unemployed after 180 days and start a business by myself?
    ---- you can be self-employed and have similar job description and LC
    •I know after receiving the AP I visit any their country. What will be my status after I come back? Still H1b or anything else?
    ----- if you enter using H1 then it will be H1. the debate is still on whether using AP to enter causes you to lose H1 or not. It is possible to extend H1 status though.
    It will be very much appreciated if some can answer my questions?

    U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has launched its newly re-designed Web site (http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis). Although the Web site update was scheduled to be introduced September 22, 2009, attorney Eugenia Ponce visited the site Monday and has this report:

    The updated Web site is organized according to categories.The categories are displayed as Topics, Forms, Resources, Laws, News, and About Us. The topics are categorized as follows: Adoption, Permanent Residence, Humanitarian, Citizenship, Members of the Military and Their Family, Family, Visit the U.S., Working in the U.S, and Genealogy. After clicking on a specific topic, I was provided helpful information and even more additional information was available through the links on the left of the screen.The advantage of categorizing the information by topic is that individuals are now able to familiarize themselves with the process from start to finish. There are other helpful links and tools within each specific topic.

    Another key feature to the Web site is that there is a “where to start” link. Before, individuals could navigate throughout the Web site not knowing where to even begin their search on a narrow issue. Now, the “where to start link” will allow individuals to begin their immigration search by narrowing it down to their specific issue. For instance, there is a scroll-down available for individuals under the “where to start” link. It states “I Am,” and one can select from the various choices available and get specific information relating to any issue.

    Given the new era with text messaging (even various airline companies provide flight and gate status information through text messaging), USCIS has upgraded its site by adding a link that allows individuals to receive case status updates via text messages. The newly designed site has provided a one-stop resource center for individuals with specific queries and I am excited in navigating throughout their links.     Just want to know that is there any law
    which help to get overtime for full time employee.

    I know if you consultant you get paid by hours but not when you become full time employee.

    Overtime is paid only if you are a non-exempt employee - usually means you get paid hourly. If you are an exempt employee, then you are not eligible for overtime. Not sure if this is different in different states, but that is how it works in Ohio.

    My I-485 status is updated with the below message. LUD 05/21/2009. Surprisingly they mailed the document on 09 March 2009 and status update is on 05/21/2009

    Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

    Current Status: Document mailed to applicant.

    ***On March 9, 2009*** we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service.

    Previous LUD 03/31/2009 after completing FP in March 2009 with this message.

    Current Status: This case has been sent to another office for processing because it has jurisdiction over the case.

    Any clue, whats going on ?

    You can use your eb3 EAD.

    But first to get into EB2 category, you have to first file another separate labor with a different employer (w/same employer it will most likely rejected) and then file 140 separately agian and then once your 140 is approved get it interfiled and then port from eb3 to eb2.

    Our AP saga got its final miracle today. (at least I think it�s the final one�) Though my spouse�s and daughter's AP were finally got approved yesterday, the miracle is that TSC has decided to expedite and overnight them, based on a fax from my father-in-law�s doctor.
    The very nice lady IO at SF INS office this morning asked for our telephone numbers, and then followed up and called us on our cell phone to confirm that TSC is expediting the APS�..�and overnight-ing them!

    Prior to this last miracle the journey was choppy.
    We are to leave for India on Dec 26th... ..the APs were e-filed on July 12 to give TSC enough time.

    Because nothing seemed to be happening I faxed TSC director (no use), another fax at TSC (not much use), made friends with a TSC rep...(great) got in touch with my Congressman George MIller's office..(fantastic), leading to the approval yesterday and then today comes the icing on the cake� the overnight-ing�.

    After a season of dryness, it doesn't just rain, it pours!

    what amount lawyer is asking?

    Hi,
    I am trying to renew my EAD/AP myself and wanted to check if I will be getting the EAD card and AP documents by mail to my address.

    I am avoiding the lawyer, as he's charging unreasonable amount.

    Question:
    When self-filing, would I be getting the EAD/AP documents at my home address???
