Hi ALL,
I'm a newbie in the forum and i need help from all regarding the below issue i have.
I'm a F1 student and presently working as a Software Engineer.I have been on OPT from January 2010 and i have recently got an extension for another 17 months which is a total of 29 months of OPT from January 2010 till June 2012, My main question was when do i need to apply for H1 and are there different types of H1?
What are the dates for applying for H1 and the start date for H1?
I will be done with my OPT by June 2012, so when should i start my H1 filling and is there any way that i can extend my status?
what are the ways of applying for H1?
Sorry if i have been asking the same question which has been answered before, if so please do not mind to direct me to that particular page
Thanks,
Rohit
Do it as soon as you can. You have a lot of time though. This year's quota started from April 1 which will come into affect on oct 01. You have nothing to worry.

I had applied for the extension of my parents in laws' stay online (I -539 form thro USCIS E-FILE). Throughout the entire process of the application, I was not asked to turn in any documents. After submitting the form, I had called the USCIS to find out the list of documents that I needed to send. I was told then that during the processing of the application, if the USCIS needed any supporting documents, they will ask for it. I did not get any notification regarding the same in the last two months since the application was filed. However, I got a letter denying the extension. The reason stated was that I had not provided any supporting documents (that their stay was temporary, that they have enough funds, that they have reason to return back to India etc.). Is there any step that I could take to reverse this decision? I have all the supporting docs ready, and can send it to them immediately. I didn't send them earlier because I was specifically asked to wait for further instructions regarding the same. Can they change their decision if I provided all the documents? Any kind of help from anyone who has gone thru a similar situation or has had any such experience would be highly appreciated.

According to the revised law, a law officer cannot approach any legal immigrant and ask for documents unless he is already questioning that person for some other offence
Hence I dont think u need to take the docs to an Ice cream shop, but a copy in the car or something wud suffice logically !!
Has anyone considered: In Arizona, what's going to happen to all of the immigrants who are there perfectly legally and are actually creating American jobs via the EB5 green card program? Will the be harassed? I say probably.

Well I've run a test shooting one subject with my D70 on each available white balance setting and uploaded the results to the gallery (sorry for taking up space but curiosity was killing me). Turns out the gallery read my EXIF data correctly on 2 out of the 6 pics uploaded, "Incandescent" & "Cloudy". All others read cloudy, so I'm not sure if the discrepancy is with the camera or the gallery. When I read the data on my PC they all read "manual white balance" so that's no help. Anyway, the following links contain the results:
